Privacy Policy

The short version
Your photos and posture scans never leave your iPhone. All posture analysis runs on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework. Heighten has no account system, no sign-up, and no server that receives your photos, your scan results, or your AirPods motion data.
What stays on your device
- Photos taken or selected for posture scans are analyzed on-device and are not uploaded anywhere. Saving a photo with a scan is optional and stores it only in the app's local storage.
- Scan results (scores, observations, progress history) are stored only on your device.
- AirPods head-motion data used by the desk coach is processed live on your device and reduced to session statistics stored locally.
What we collect
- Purchase data. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage access; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- Usage analytics. We collect anonymous usage events (for example, that a scan was completed and its score band, never the photos or the detailed report) through Amplitude and Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which features help people and to fix problems.
- Advertising measurement. If you allow tracking in the iOS prompt, we use Apple's and Google's advertising frameworks to measure which ads bring people to Heighten. If you decline, the app works identically; your photos and scans are never part of this either way.
What we never collect
No photos, no scan reports, no motion recordings, no contacts, no location, no health records. Heighten does not read or write Apple Health data.
Retention and your rights
On-device data lives until you delete the app or its data. Anonymous analytics are retained by our providers per their standard windows. You can request deletion of purchase records tied to your anonymous ID by contacting us.
Children
Heighten is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
